Don’t Do This in Your Network Marketing Business

Some Humor for Your Friday, I Laughed So Hard I Cried

If you have spent any time in network marketing and network marketing training then you probably have run across Todd Falcone. What I love about Todd is he not only an adept network marketer and trainer who teaches the tried and true skill sets of network marketing. He has primarily focused on offline marketing methods however he is becoming a master of how to use the online medium to convey his message and his teaching.

Humor is the Best Teacher

Todd has found his online niche through teaching through humor. He has created his alter ego in ‘Buzzy Boxer’ got to love the name. Buzzy has a good heart and is giving it his all and we all get to benefit from Buzzy’s mis-steps in his network marketing journey.

Todd gives us an inside view through short videos of the assorted antics that Buzzy goes through to get the sale and build his team. Humor is one of the best teachers and Todd does this in spades.

Though a bit over the top you’d be surprised how close Buzzy’s antics are to the truth with many network marketers. It just reminded me of some outrageous stories of my past experiences with even people on my team or those approaching me from other network marketing companies. I will save those stories for another post. This is a perfect example of where real life is stranger than fiction.

Never before has there been so much good content being produced for internet marketing applicable to any business model including network marketing. As a result of the maturing of the internet and the profession of network marketing there is a cornucopia of fabulous information/education launches happening right now.

If you are just getting starting or even a seasoned professional how do you keep from getting into information overload or what I call Launch Overwhelm? It goes back to the well recited phrase, ‘Most people don’t plan to fail they simply fail to plan.’ You must create your own master game plan.

You are starting your network marketing business. As you think of people you can contact about your new venture who are you thinking would be an ideal candidate for your business? I bet you are thinking of people who you know are good sales people. You may know someone super successful in real estate, or selling insurance or any type of sales.

Don’t we often think of people who can talk to anyone and love sales. They love closing the deal, and moving on to the next deal. You’re sure that they will take off in your business and you will both ride into the sunset.

What often happens is they are already successful in their respective profession so being coachable isn’t high on the list and they figure they know more about sales than you do so they proceed to do what made them successful in their real estate business or whatever business they were in.

Your new sales pro goes out and recruits 10 new people their first month or even their first week. Now you are thinking your new sales pro is going to go on and build a big business and you are flat out excited.

Their second month they go out and recruit another 10 or more into the business. What is happening with the first 10 or so they recruited their first month in the business? They are falling out of the business also know as the revolving door. They come in they go out.

You’re deflated and wondering what went wrong. You new sales pro is now getting impatient and is wondering why they are not earning what they know they are worth. Your sales pro will often not seek out help, they will simply quit and look for another opportunity.

So what happened?
