I felt is appropriate and timely to share my 30 Day Blogging Challenge experience. We are down to the last two days of the month of August and what an experience it has been! Life changing actually on many levels. I couldn't help but think of it as running a race where the crowds are cheering us on. I can actually see and here the crowds now.

Blogging Everyday 5 Days a Week Has Been a Push

Blogging everyday 5 days a week has been a push for me. I'd find myself writing my posts early in the morning to leave the majority of my day for the other tasks that need to be done in my business. There were times that I was bone tired having suffered both adrenal and thyroid exhaustion so finding the right balance can be tricky.

I Created the 30 Day Blogging Challenge for Encouragement

I created the 30 Day Blogging challenge as a way to encourage myself and others to stay the course. Maybe for some blogging everyday comes naturally however I found for me, I felt just a bit out of balance with the continued push to create great content without overwhelming myself. I am so glad I did the challenge because it did get easier to write and come up with good content and stay consistent. Sometimes pushing can be a good thing. I almost saw this as sprint for the month of August.

On first glance setting up a great profile on Facebook or any social network may seem pretty straight forward and it is and there are some key points that can enhance your results. First include as much as you can about your interests and values. This helps attract people to you where you both hold common values. This immediately starts out the relationship with a common bond. If you in part hope to expand your business network through Facebook it pays to brand yourself and create a tribe of like minded individuals with common interests who want to connect to you as well.

You have probably heard the phrase don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. It is funny to me how sometimes as human beings we can be all or nothing, we only do it this way or that way. The truth is traditional marketing methods of face to face, over the phone, person to person has worked remarkably well in network marketing for over 50 years. We are in a relationship business. Many people get caught up in transactional selling where the focus is on making the sale rather than creating long term successful relationships. Network Marketing is all about relationships. This being the case the traditional methods of building a network marketing business can work very well. Over the phone or face to face marketing has tremendous advantages however there is real value in adding in internet marketing including learning how to master social media. The benefits of social media and internet marketing is expanding your reach and the leverage that internet marketing can provide.

I don't about you but I can be a bit impatient at times with my marketing. Sometimes I want to have built huge exposure overnight and a huge following but like the tortoise and the hare story, the tortoise approach to your marketing has a huge payoff. It is easy to be tempted to throw money at your marketing to hurry it along and yet in the long run content is king on the web. Organic marketing builds your marketing on a solid and enduring foundation.

My definition of organic marketing versus traditional outbound marketing is that you are relying on good content and utilizing social media to get your message out to the market place by offering tremendous value to your readers. Traditionally marketing was ruled by those who had the biggest wallets and the ability to get their messages out to the market place over and over again. It relied on a one directional approach where organic marketing is dynamic and is multi-directional and when done properly invites the participation of all.

his post is very pertinent to my own journey. It is easy to get distracted and running into too many different directions when setting up your points of contact on the web for your internet marketing. I have 2 youtube channels, my husband has a youtube channel for his new business, I have two blogs, my facebook and my twitter account. I have a dozen or so articles I have written thus far. My plan is to connect all these points and use my youtube channels and articles in part to drive traffic to my blog. As a Master Plan it has a lot of merit however there is something to be said for focusing your efforts.

In looking back at my internet marketing experience thus far I can see another approach that I believe deserves consideration. Pick one social media platform and master it. Once mastered pick another medium and master that as well. In other words build each piece of your network on the web one social medium at a time. I have been on Facebook for two years but only recently am I fully realizing the potential of Facebook.

Facebook is an phenomenon in the way that people now interrelate on the internet. 300 Million users and growing now on Facebook. 2.0 marketing understands that now those who are being marketed to are determining how they want to receive their information. One of the reasons that Social Media has caught the imagination of the public is because it allows for a two way conversation, in fact it allows for conversations between any number of people who choose to engage on any particular topic.

The last 10 years has seen a huge push when it comes to internet marketing of the importance of creating your ever important email list. Ideally you want to create a targeted list of people who are interested in the topics and products you offer. Until social media came of age, the lists being built were mostly what I call static lists. Yes, when done properly the individuals on the list were highly interested in your offerings. Forums have always had the power of being interactive and community building vehicles. Offering comment boxes on your blog would give the individuals visiting your blog an opportunity to give feedback, ideas and insights but does not give your visitors an opportunity to interact with other visitors.
