Internet Network Marketing, Are You Focusing on What is Important?

Where is your focus in your Internet Network Marketing Business?

Using the internet to market ourselves and our network marketing businesses can lead to a loss of focus. Are we focusing on the right things when it comes to building our network marketing business?

Discovered a Gem of a MLM Blogger

I discovered another intelligent and thoughtful MLM Blogger Marcus Baker. He has a stiller MLM Blog.

Marcus poses a very interesting question that illuminates the importance of your focus in creating network marketing business utilizing online marketing methods.

He provides  two statements which on first glace look very similar. However each statement has a different focus. One would be a person choosing to focus on internet marketing and the other using the internet to build their network marketing business.

Are You Getting Caught Up in the 'How To' of Internet Marketing ?

Marcus really speaks to a concern I have had entering online marketing to further grow my network marketing business. There is the opportunity to lose focus and get too caught up in the 'How To' of internet marketing and forget our primary directive in network marketing is connecting with people, building relationships and exposing them to our opportunity.

Are You Hiding Out Behind the 'How To' of Internet Marketing?

It is too easy to hide behind the 'How To' and not do what is essential in your network marketing business. Connect and talk to people everyday about your products and opportunity.

For a fascinating read and thought provoking conversation Marcus will have you evaluating your priorities and your focus.

PS: After reading the full post please share your thoughts. What is your focus? If you want the benefits of long term residual income are you doing the right things in your business? Is the internet an enhancement to your business or has it become a distraction?

PSS: Share the Love. If you enjoyed reading this article and think others will gain value from it, share it on your favorite Social Networks like Facebook, Twitter and Digg. Thank you.

    Hi Faith,
I have been ruminating about this very topic for several months. I see a lot of Network Markerters getting distracted with online activities which, initially, were supposed to help grow their primary business. I myself have fallen into this trap as well. It’s an interesting time to be in Network Marketing because of all the shifts happening. On the one hand, we have to embrace the new frontier of the Internet and learn how to leverage its power as a tool for building our businesses. On the other hand, we also cannot neglect or forget the primary offline activities that got us where we are in the first place.
Thank you for writing about important subjects related to Network Marketing! I appreciate your perspective. :)

Mary Lou, Thank you for sharing your experience. Striking the balance between the reach of the internet and keeping front and center that nothing really happens without connection we can keep our ship on course. I am still determining that online marketing can be done by everyone. I think the potential is there but there is also the potential for huge distraction and overwhelm as well. I like to coach my team members to do both online and offline marketing this way while they are getting their online presence going they are creating traction in their business offline.

    Faith
