You have probably heard the phrase don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. It is funny to me how sometimes as human beings we can be all or nothing, we only do it this way or that way. The truth is traditional marketing methods of face to face, over the phone, person to person has worked remarkably well in network marketing for over 50 years. We are in a relationship business. Many people get caught up in transactional selling where the focus is on making the sale rather than creating long term successful relationships. Network Marketing is all about relationships. This being the case the traditional methods of building a network marketing business can work very well. Over the phone or face to face marketing has tremendous advantages however there is real value in adding in internet marketing including learning how to master social media. The benefits of social media and internet marketing are expanding your reach and the leverage that internet marketing can provide.
Bringing the best of offline marketing and online marketing is a super successful marketing strategy. I believe there is real value in drawing from a number of marketing reach out methods.
Remember to take baby steps and pick one social media like Facebook and really master it before adding another to your repertoire. Start with doing the things that give you joy and are easier for you to master and then add new marketing reach out methods as you gain more confidence. If you are more comfortable building your business via the internet and utilizing social media online then I recommend you start there. However over time I suggest that you take some time to reach out at networking groups offline to keep things fresh and for some face to face contact.
Even Social Media Mavin Mari Smith says nothing beats face to face contact for solidifying relationships. The next best thing online is the use of video marketing which brings a much more personal touch to your marketing efforts.
My first caveat is to focus on marketing methods which you have a natural affinity for and when you choose to utilize both the benefits of face to face marketing and internet marketing these two marketing approaches can be quite complementary. Offline and online marketing can lead to massive success in your network marketing business.You are bound to connect with people in your network marketing organization and with your emerging leaders that will have an affinity for one or the other or both of these marketing methods. Having some familiarity with both will help you guide your leadership. It will also further position you as an authority in your profession.
If your company is opening into foreign markets, it is very wise to get comfortable networking on the web through the social networks. You can very quickly make inroads into other ethnic communities that your company may be expanding into. For the fraction of the cost you can establish a web presence that reaches out all over the globe. Of course with your off line marketing it is always wise to drill down through your network for people who may know people who live or have connections in countries your company may be expanding into.
If you desire to be a top leader in your company you owe it to yourself to master both offline and online marketing methods creating a super successful marketing strategy for you and your team.
