Have we been asleep for the last 50 years? Why is it that for the last half century we have limited our marketing efforts in network marketing to warm market, making our list, signs on telephone polls, leaving cards on bulletin boards and all over God’s creation. Yes, there have been the brave souls who have run ads, did radio, and even television. Often with dismal results. If the results were decent, the cost was prohibitive for most.

Of course we were all taught that it’s always best to start with those who already know and trust us.There is some logic given it is a great way to practice and most important, get referrals. The challenge is, when limiting our businesses to this type of marketing, the all important question comes up in your contacts mind; “can and do I want to do what you are doing with me right now?”

The primary reason for resorting to circle of influence marketing is the low cost and trust. Until recently this was the most logical choice for marketing a grass roots type of business model. The truth of the matter many people struggled for years with internet marketing often spending more than they made. There was a lot of trial and error that went on for the last 10 years.

I know a leader whose primary marketing thrust was to teach his distributors to go to the the shopping mauls and strike up conversations with the people they ran across. Of course learning how to listen and connect with people are valuable skills. They don’t like of the idea of when this happens to them let alone doing it themselves.

When you bring sound business principles into your marketing efforts, you gain the trust and confidence of other professionals. The mantra of network marketing has always been duplication. However, it is hard to duplicate when the majority of people don’t want to duplicate the old style network marketing efforts they are being taught or exposed to. This is why you see so many organizations not really duplicating with any predictability.

Now link all these together with links from one to another and utilizing key words for your targeted market. Now, take it to the next level and link to others on your team who are also creating their own presence on the web, and you have a formula for success.  This is not even considering joint ventures.

Feature other complimentary businesses on your blog, share your informational content with others and you create leverage with others on the web. Not only are you developing your own following, but you are tapping into the networks of others. When you’re a good internet citizen sharing with others on the web, the search engines fall in love with you and rate you higher on the search engines. You are even easier to find and the sophisticated audience takes note of your offerings. You become a wise counsel for those looking for what you have to offer. You are getting in front of hundreds to thousands of potential prospects 24/7. That is leverage. Your video or videos can be viewed 24/7 even when you are sleeping and spending time with your family. Branding yourself on the web, allows your audience to get to know you and bond to you. Creating many points of connection through your internet marketing system on the web will reward you for many years to come.

I call this the abundance mindset. You have more inquiries into your business than you can keep up with, so now you can share quality leads with your leaders. Of course, your most proactive leaders will want to get up and running branding themselves on the internet as well. Showcase each other and link to to each other will just further everyone’s success.
